Important Information:

Dear Parents,
We are extremely mindful of the difficult economic times which currently face your families. We sincerely appreciate the sacrifice each family makes to pay the tuition and support our fundraising efforts. Likewise, we are grateful for the loyalty to our school which our families have demonstrated over the last few years. Accordingly, we are pleased to announce that there will be no tuition increase for the 2009-2010 school year. The tuition (K-8) will remain at $3875.00 for parishioners and $4575.00 for non-parishioners.

We look forward to continuing to provide excellence in Catholic education to your children, and strive to expand our school enrollment to include many new students. We have found that the best way to attract new families to our school is through the enthusiasm and confidence of our existing families. In addition to the tuition freeze, we are pleased to announce the following tuition and enrollment incentives:

1. First Grade Discount. The tuition for students matriculating from the Kindergarten program to first grade will be reduced to $3000 for the 2009-2010 school year.

2. Sibling Discount. Many families have multiple children enrolled in our school. For the 2009-2010 school year, families will receive a $250.00 discount credit for the second enrolled child, a $500.00 credit for each third, fourth or any additional enrolled child.

3. New Student Discount. New families enrolling students at St. Kevin School will be given a discount credit of $500.00. The tuition for parishioner new students will be $3375.00 for the 2009-2010 school year. The tuition for non-parishioner new students will be $4075.00 for the 2009-2010 school year.

4. Recruitment Discount. Existing families who are instrumental in enrolling a new student or family at St. Kevin School will receive the same discount credit of $500.00 for the 2009-2010 school year--if a family recruits a new student to our school, our existing family will receive a reduced tuition of $3375 (parishioner rate) for one existing student.

We sincerely hope that the tuition freeze combined with these tuition discounts and incentives will be helpful to our school families during these difficult times. Remember, you are the best representatives of our school. The most effective way to increase our enrollment is to rely on you to spread the word that St. Kevin truly is “simply the best”!

Please do not hesitate to contact Roger Parent with any questions regarding enrollment or tuition. Also, if you wish to introduce a new family to our school, Mr. Parent will make himself available to meet any prospective family and present our school and community. Don’t forget, our official open house is January 25!

Sincerely,
Father David Green

Saint Kevin School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school.

We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color national or ethnic origins in administration of educational policies, admission policies, loan programs, scholarships, athletic and other school administered programs.

Admission Requirements:

All new students upon registration are required to have a birth certificate, baptismal certificate and records of immunization. Students entering kindergarten must be five years old by September 1. Students entering Pre-School must be four years of age for the four year old program and three for the three year old program by September 1 as well. This is required by both the Department of education and Diocesan School policy. No exceptions will be made.

Admission is based upon openings in each class. Students who are members of Saint Kevin parish and siblings of those who are already enrolled in the school are given priority.

Parents seeking admission for their children in grades two through eight must have an interview with the principal. The student’s current academic progress must be presented at that time. After the interview, the student will be invited to visit for a day to determine whether Saint Kevin School will meet their needs. A writing sample and a math sample as well as any other work may be retained for evaluation.

Admission to all grades is based on available space and the ability to meet the students’needs.
